Transport Luypaert
Transport Luypaert specialises in the transport of forklift trucks and related equipment for internal logistics (including electric pallet trucks, stackers, reach trucks, battery chargers, etc.) as well as metal profiles, pipes and sheets (copper, aluminium, stainless steel, brass) and switch cabinets. Our main activities are in the Benelux and France, but we also manage transport services throughout Western Europe.
Responsibilities
Metal goods are loaded onto the truck overnight by the night shift, ensuring you can depart first thing in the morning with a fully loaded truck. Throughout the day, you'll make approximately 15 stops to deliver materials to various customers.
- Before setting off, you will check the necessary documents and load securing to ensure that everything is secure and complete and to guarantee a smooth transport and delivery.
- Depending on the weight of the goods to be delivered, you will use a forklift truck or overhead crane to unload the goods. You will help to ensure that this process is carried out safely. If the weight allows it, you will unload manually.
- You will make sure that the transport documents are always signed by the customer. These serve as proof of correct delivery.
- You will check all key components essential to the safety and optimal functioning of your vehicle, such as oil level, tyre pressure, tyre condition, etc.
- You will report any defects and/or damage to the vehicle to the authorised persons at Transport Luypaert.
- You will keep the vehicle documents up to date.
- You will ensure that the truck is cleaned regularly, and the driver's cabin is always tidy.
